Recently, Zhejiang Satellite TV launched a new program called “The birth of actors”. It is the competition of actors and actress through a play given by the program. I knew this program form Weibo. A lot of famous stars did a lot of propaganda before the program came out, which caught my eyes. However, when the program started to broadcast, there was negative criticism appearing on the Internet due to dozens of flaws it showed. In spite of these flaws, I still like this program.

There are three main reasons why I like about this show. First, it shows the courage of famous stars to sharpen their skills. As we all know, the stars taking part in this program are faced with the pressure of acute criticism which they should not have been burdened with. Their will to pursue higher achievement pushes them to come to this program, which I admire a lot. Second, it shows the courage of Zhejiang Satellite TV to make innovation. “The birth of actors” is the first program aiming at the skills of actors in China, which means the extreme difficulty of keeping the program run well. Although there are lots of flaws waiting to be refined, Zhejiang Satellite TV provides experience for this new field with their own effort. Third, it shows the progress and reform of the entertainment industry. In the past few years, money and fame were the two things that most stars struggle for, which left a bad influence on the whole industry. The appearing of this program means the skills of the stars today are becoming more and more important. The unhealthy tendency of the entertainment industry will gradually be removed.

This program is the sign of a better future for entertainment industry. I believe, with everyone’s efforts, this industry will finally become the palace for actors and singers in high level.

The south China tiger is one of the endangered and rather precious species of carnivores in China. It is well acknowledged that they are as valuable as the pandas, due to their only presence in China all over the world.

The reason why people call them the south China tiger is because they live in south of China. Most of them were living in the mountains and forests in Hunan, Fujian, Guangdong, Henan and Shanxi Province. Technically, you could find them in the forest land and wild area where wild boar, buffalo and many kinds of deer were abundant. However, from 1950s, people began to hunt them, which caused huge declining.

Although the government set laws to protect them, the illegal hunting was continued. So, now I'm very sad to tell you that many experts believed that south China tiger has been extinct in the wild area.

There are only about 100 south China tigers living in several zoos and breed base places. All of them are feeding by people, which is a tragedy coz they are wild animals. But we don't have other choice, we have to protect them, they are going to die out.

In the past time, many animal photographers are devoted in taking photos of south China tigers. Thanks to them, we now have many valuable pictures when they were living in the wild area.

My favorite animal is a polar bear. I admire this wonderful creature and think it is the most majestic of all the world’s creatures. I learned about these animals at school, but also did my own research online. I have watched many nature documentaries that show the lives of polar bears and they have tough lives.

Polar bears are absolutely massive. They stand about 2 meters tall and weigh over 400 kilograms. As they hunt in extremely cold conditions, their bodies have to endure subzero temperatures. The bears rely on snow and ice to hunt seals, but sadly the ice has retreated in recent years causing many bears to starve to death.

These stunning creatures live in the cold regions like the North Pole and Arctic Circle area. They build dens under the snow and spend a life of foraging and hunting. Sometimes there have been clashes with local people as the bears have been drawn to human trash out of hunger.

I like this animal as it is a survivor and for its size it is really graceful, especially when it swims. The babies are so white, fluffy and cute with their white fur and beady, black eyes. I would not like to have one as a pet as I am sure it would eat me, but I can admire them from a distance.
