The past decades have witnessed an impending trend that parents impose more pressure on childrens development. While this conundrum may be the outcome of complex causal configurations that act conjointly, I would see it as the consequence of adults expectation for their offsprings career prospects, and I would see the phenomenon from a negative perspective.

The first causation to realize is parents preferred supposition about childrens needs. From adults perspective, career success is the most important goal of life, which hinges on academic performance since childhood. That explains why more and more parents opt to add more pressure on childrens study. Adding to this point is the apprehension about peer pressure. Few parents can afford to see their beloved little ones be placed at a disadvantage in school competition, thus leading to them begin childrens schooling as early as possible, just to gain an advantage over other students.

As for the implications of the increased parental pressure, it is difficult for me to see it as anything other than a curse on younger generations seeking for the true meaning of life. Those championing this trend may point to its relevance to childrens future success in academic performance or career; however, they are oblivious to the factor that the supposed success may not necessarily bring children happiness. By contrast, next generations reared in such a stress to succeed may miss out on their true aptitudes for other passions, whether it be the arts or sports; some children may find life more meaningful in helping others rather than excelling in schools or workplaces.

From what has been discussed above, I would conclude therefore, the parental pressure on the next generations to succeed is caused by adults preferred supposition about childrens future, and it would cause childrens missing out on their true aspirations for life.
